Privacy
Last updated: April 25, 2026
i'd rather write you a poem about discretion than a privacy policy. but here we are.
what follows is what i collect, why, who i share it with, and how to make me stop. read it. ask me anything you'd like clarified. i'm at hello@fonzworth.io.
What I collect
- account information — your name, email address, the way you authenticated (apple, google, email link)
- the things you tell me — every conversation we have, every task you ask me to handle, every goal you set, every contact you mention
- your calendar — if you connect it, i pull events to make briefings useful. only events, not attendees' private notes.
- your gmail subjects + senders — if you connect it, i read subject lines and sender names to make briefings useful. i don't read message bodies.
- device information — what kind of phone, what version of the app, basic technical details so i can fix what breaks
- usage analytics — what you tap, when, how often. anonymized in aggregate.
- payment information — handled by stripe. i never see your card number.
Why I collect it
to do my job. that's the whole reason. specifically:
- to provide and improve the service you're paying for
- to send you briefings, nudges, and reminders
- to detect bugs and crashes
- to understand which features matter and which don't
- to comply with legal obligations when they apply
- to communicate with you about your account
i don't sell your data. i don't share it for advertising. that's not the business.
Who I share it with
i use a small set of trusted vendors to run the service. each gets only what they need:
- anthropic — receives your conversation context to generate my responses (your messages + my replies)
- openai — receives short pieces of text for routing and extracting structured data (tasks, events, goals)
- supabase — stores your account, conversations, and structured data
- stripe — handles payment processing
- resend — handles transactional email (magic links, receipts, briefings if delivered by email)
- posthog — handles product analytics (anonymized usage data)
- google — only if you connect google calendar / gmail; only what you authorize
- apple — only if you sign in with apple; receives only what apple needs to authenticate you
- vercel — hosts the web infrastructure
i don't share your data with anyone outside this list, except:
- when required by law (court order, subpoena, etc.)
- to protect the safety of users or the public
- in connection with a business transfer (acquisition, merger), in which case the new owner inherits these same obligations
How long I keep it
- active accounts — for as long as you have an account
- after you delete your account — i remove your personal data within 30 days. some anonymized aggregates may persist for analytics.
- billing records — kept for as long as legally required (typically 7 years)
- conversation history — yours to delete from the app at any time. i'll comply.
Your rights
depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access — request a copy of what i have on you
- correct — fix anything that's wrong
- delete — ask me to remove your data (with the exceptions above)
- export — get your data in a portable format
- object — limit how i process your data
- opt out — of analytics, marketing emails, etc.
to exercise any of these, email me at privacy@fonzworth.io. i'll respond within 30 days.
Children
fonzworth is not intended for anyone under 18. i don't knowingly collect data from minors. if you believe i've collected information about a minor, email me at privacy@fonzworth.io and i'll delete it.
International transfers
if you're outside the united states, your data may be processed in the us (where my vendors operate). by using fonzworth, you consent to this transfer. i use standard contractual clauses where required.
Security
i protect your data with industry-standard measures: encryption in transit (tls), encryption at rest, restricted access for the small team that runs the service, regular security reviews. no system is unbreakable. if there's a breach that affects you, i'll notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware.
Cookies
i use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and run analytics. no advertising cookies. no third-party tracking pixels.
Changes
if i update this policy in a way that materially affects your rights, i'll email you with at least 30 days' notice. minor edits (typo fixes, clearer language) i'll make without notice but always with a fresh “last updated” date.
